Type Master 2.0 ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use our Service at typemaster.com.

We do not collect payment information, location data, or device fingerprints. We do not use third-party analytics trackers by default.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Service (typing tests, leaderboards, lessons).
To display your typing history and achievements on your profile.
To send account-related emails if you request a password reset.
To detect and prevent cheating or abuse on the leaderboard.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. Preferences such as your selected theme and sound settings are stored in your browser's localStorage only — they never leave your device.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels unless you consent via an ad network widget.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Deleted data is removed from our database within 30 days.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All API endpoints require authenticated sessions for user-specific actions. We follow standard security practices to protect your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Type Master 2.0 is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data without consent, please contact us for removal.

8. Your Rights

Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correction: Update your username, email, or avatar via your profile page.
Deletion: Request complete removal of your account and data.
Portability: Request an export of your typing history in CSV format.
